10's Across the Board!: Movement Creations Using the Art of Vogue

Presented by: Everett Perry-Johnson

This movement workshop introduces participants to the foundational elements of Vogue: Hand Performance, Catwalk, Duckwalk, Spins and Dips, and Floorwork. Rooted in the Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ ballroom scene, Vogue is more than a dance form—it's a cultural expression of identity, resistance, and celebration. Participants will form “Houses” and be provided handouts of different Poses to build and create a unique sequence that bridges the 5 elements together. No prior Vogue experience is necessary—just an openness to move, learn, and connect. Whether you're new to dance or refining your style, this workshop invites you to explore Vogue as a powerful form of movement, history, and self-expression.s of meaning (Regev, 1994).
