Aleksej Tikhonov is a researcher at the University of Zurich, specializing in Slavic Linguistics. His academic trajectory began with a PhD in diachronic linguistics and digital humanities, focusing on 18th-century Czech manuscripts held in Berlin. During this period, he also contributed to the development of AI transcription models for Ukrainian, Russian, and Yiddish at the University of Freiburg.
