Aleksej Tikhonov is a researcher at the University of Zurich, specializing in Slavic Linguistics. His academic trajectory began with a PhD in diachronic linguistics and digital humanities, focusing on 18th-century Czech manuscripts held in Berlin. During this period, he also contributed to the development of AI transcription models for Ukrainian, Russian, and Yiddish at the University of Freiburg. Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher, his work shifts to a synchronous perspective, examining the role of Slavic languages in German rap. This research explores the intersection of multilingualism and identity negotiation, reflecting their broader interest in the sociolinguistic dynamics of minority and migrant communities.
