Elina Westinen

Elina Westinen (presenting) is Academy Fellow at Finnish Youth Research Network. Previously, she worked at the University of Jyväskylä. She is an active member of both the European Hip Hop Studies Network and the Finnish Hip Hop Studies Network. Her research focuses on young people and youth cultures, most recently from the perspective of identity, ethnicity and conviviality. She has published widely in both Finnish and international journals and edited volumes. She also actively engages in popularizing her research, by giving guest lectures and interviews as well as writing texts for the general public.
