Dr Michail Exarchos is a hip-hop musicologist and award-winning rap artist. He is the Creative Director of music-tech innovation company RT60, having previously led programmes in record production at various UK institutions. He has published extensively with Routledge, Intellect, Cambridge University Press and Bloomsbury Academic, and has produced four critically-acclaimed solo albums and numerous singles on labels such as EMI, Sony, Universal and Warner Music. His album, XLi3h, is included in the 30 Best Greek hip-hop albums of all time. His latest monograph 'Reimagining Sample-based Hip Hop' is accompanied by a 69-track album created entirely out of self-made samples.
