Based in London, Samia is an avid Hip Hop listener with a strong interest in the genre’s Islamic and socio-political foundations. In the past, she has provided social commentary on these topics through a series of written contributions and the former ‘The 411 Podcast’. Her most recent area of study explores the connections between culture-based gentrification in London and its impact on Black British musical and visual cultural productions.
