Giuseppe Gatti

Giuseppe Gatti is a researcher at the Department of Humanities, University of Turin. His research focuses on the cultural exchanges between the Italian diaspora and Hip Hop culture, with particular attention to cinema, street performance, and cultural heritage. He is the author of Made With Italy. La diaspora italiana nell’Hip Hop americano, 1967-1997. Corpi, suoni, visioni (Mimesis, 2025) and Stradario hip-hop (Alegre, 2020). Under the alias ‘Nexus’ he is an experienced b-boy, Hip Hop artist and activist, currently serving as the Italian co-representative of the European Hip Hop Studies Network.
