Heidi R. Lewis is David Lucile Packard Professor of Feminist & Gender Studies at Colorado College, Editor-in-Chief of Oxford Bibliographies in Gender & Women’s Studies, and President of the National Women’s Studies Association. She recently authored Make Rappers Rap Again: Interrogating the Mumble Rap “Crisis” (Oxford UP, 2025), and she previously published In Audre’s Footsteps: Transnational Kitchen Table Talk and contributed to Rethinking Women’s and Gender Studies II, Womanism Rising, The Cultural Impact of Kanye West, the Journal of Popular Culture, the Journal of Black Sexuality and Relationships, Unteilbar: Bündnisse gegen Rassismus, NewBlackMan, NPR, Ms., KRCC, Bitch, and Act Out.
