Hammad Rashid
Hammad Rashid is a British-Pakistani music producer and researcher based in the UK. My creative work focuses on sampling and genre fusion, and he produces music in Urdu under the names Urdu Trap, Urdu R&B, and Urdu Jazz. He is currently completing a PhD exploring the use of the human voice as a non-lyrical instrument in electronic music. His academic interests include hip-hop, sound studies, and digital performance. His article on live streaming as a collaborative tool was published in the IASPM Journal, where he reflects on the intersection between music-making, technology, and cultural practice.
