Tristan Eissing
TU Braunschweig
Tristan Eissing studied musicology and German studies at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. He is writing his doctoral thesis on the potential risks of music for people with substance use disorder. After initially receiving a graduate scholarship, he has been working as a research assistant at Technische Universität Braunschweig since 2024. He is interested in the diverse connections between substance use and popular music, particularly rap. This primarily concerns social, political, and personal implications that affect both performers and listeners.
